A 2023-as bemutató, valamint a 2024-ben aratott elsöprő sikerek után az Urban Verbunk ismét színpadra állítja nagyszabású és minden képzeletet felülmúló produkcióját, a Don’t Lie To The Planet SHOW-t!
Az Urban Verbunk legnagyszabásúbb produkciója egy formabontó előadóművészeti koncepción alapuló előadás, amely a magyar néptánc gazdag kulturális örökségére épülve felhívja a figyelmet a jelen égető globális társadalmi kérdéseire.
A produkció nemcsak olyan táncművészetet tár a néző elé, mely a világon teljesen egyedülálló, de emellett el is gondolkodtat: Az előadás olyan témákat dolgoz fel, mint az ember okozta környezetvédelmi károk (pl. vízhiány, erdőtüzek), történelmünk, napjaink globális társadalmi problémái (pl. holokauszt, faji megkülönböztetés, éhínség), valamint nem utolsósorban a mesterséges intelligencia.
Az ember okozta extrém környezeti változások miatt a Föld utolsó órájában járunk, MOST kell tenni azért, hogy az unokáinknak is legyen még hol felnőniük. A produkcióban megjelenik a világunkat alkotó 4 őselem: egyszerre van jelen tűz, víz, föld és levegő egyazon színpadon.
Az Urban Verbunk az általa képviselt progresszív, a világon egyedülálló néptáncstílus merész koncepciója alapján gondolja újra a zenei világot is: A komolyzene nagyjainak legismertebb zeneművei egyedi hangszerelésben, szimfonikus zenekari kísérettel, crossover hangzásban hallhatók, a világ legnagyobb popelőadóinak slágereivel együtt.
A tánc és a zene mellett az előadást kísérő, grandiózus vizuális elemek (több mint 2500 liter vízzel feltöltött medence, lángoló padló, ötméteres alumíniumkapuk, fejjel-lefelé táncolás) együttesen egy mozihatást elérő szórakozási élményhez járulnak hozzá, mely teljesen egyedülálló mind a popkultúra-, mind a színház-, mind pedig az opera közönségének.

After its debut in 2023 and the overwhelming success of 2024, Urban Verbunk will once again stage its ambitious and unimaginable production Don’t Lie To The Planet SHOW!
Urban Verbunk’s most ambitious production is a performance based on a groundbreaking performing arts concept that draws on the rich cultural heritage of Hungarian folk dance to raise awareness of today’s pressing global social issues.
The production not only presents a dance art form that is unique in the world, but also makes you think: the performance explores topics such as man-made environmental damage (e.g. water shortages, forest fires), our history, today’s global social problems (e.g. the Holocaust, racial discrimination, famine) and last but not least artificial intelligence.
We are in the last hour of the Earth’s life because of extreme environmental changes caused by human activity, and NOW we must ensure that our grandchildren have somewhere to grow up. The production features the 4 elements that make up our world: fire, water, earth and air all on the same stage.
Urban Verbunk reimagines the world of music based on its bold concept of a progressive folk dance style that is unique in the world: the best-known works of the greats of classical music are performed in a unique orchestration with symphonic orchestral accompaniment, in a crossover sound, together with hits from the world’s biggest pop artists.
In addition to the dance and music, the grandiose visual elements accompanying the performance (a pool filled with more than 2,500 litres of water, a flaming floor, five-metre aluminium gates, upside-down dancing) combine to create a cinematic experience that is completely unique for pop culture, theatre and opera audiences.
